Viewers criticize Amanda Seyfried in Elizabeth Holmes documentary
Amanda Seyfried appears with Nathan Fielder in You Can See Everything, a documentary released Oct. 16, 2026, that followed Elizabeth Holmes through her last 34 days before she reported to Federal Prison Camp Bryan on May 30, 2023. Seyfried, who played Holmes in Hulu's The Dropout, helped recreate conversations Fielder had with Holmes after prison entry, grappled with growing sympathy for her, and faced Holmes's challenge to that earlier portrayal; the film also takes up Seyfried's reaction to Holmes's relationship with Billy Evans. Holmes was convicted in January 2022 on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and three counts of wire fraud and sentenced in November 2022 to 11 years and three months. After the release, some X users attacked Seyfried as hypocritical for defending Holmes as a victim of male manipulation until Holmes accused her of a sensationalized version, then flipping out that it was just TV; others said blaming Seyfried misses the point that she, Fielder, and the audience all change their views, and that Seyfried reckons with consequences while Holmes does not reckon with harm to others. Fox News Digital sought comment from Seyfried's representative. Rated coverage in the record is entirely from right-rated outlets.
