Thousands rally in Amsterdam for fourth Red Line Gaza protest
Thousands of demonstrators gathered at Amsterdam’s Museumplein for the fourth Red Line protest, organized by Amnesty International, Oxfam Novib, PAX and other groups opposing Israel’s war in Gaza. Protesters urged the Dutch government to end arms deals and military cooperation with Israel, impose sanctions and cut economic ties linked to the occupation, while calling for greater aid access and accountability. The rally followed a demonstration in October 2025 that organizers said drew about 250,000 people. Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen defended the government’s actions, citing a ban on imports from Israeli settlements, while critics argued that the measure is limited and difficult to enforce.
