Three Charged in Troy Student’s Fatal Shooting

Three people have been arrested in connection with the Oct. 29 fatal shooting of 21-year-old Carlique Miller in the 600 block of Elm Street in Troy, Alabama. Police say officers found Miller with a gunshot wound and were unable to revive him. Dejuane Lamar Washington, 20, and Keifer Jayden Walker, 18, were charged with murder and are being held without bond pending hearings; Parker Hughes Thompson, 18, faces drug possession and conspiracy-to-distribute charges. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive.
