Three Drink Shops Plan Openings Across States

Peasant House Syrup Co., a locally owned Columbus artisan syrup business, plans to open its first brick-and-mortar location in the Short North in early 2027. The space will combine a cafe, retail shop, and event and class venue, with syrup production on-site so visitors can watch the process. Hands-on classes will let participants experiment with flavors and make a personalized syrup to take home; the company also expects to offer shop-exclusive flavors. Founded by Ariel and Jacob Ciampa, the business grew from making coffee syrups at home into a small-batch syrup company.
