Three fatal shootings investigated across three states

Police are investigating fatal shootings in Pearland, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Topeka, Kansas. In Pearland, a 31-year-old man died after an altercation with someone he knew, who allegedly fired a gun; authorities have not announced charges, and the circumstances of the suspect’s status remain unclear. In Charlotte’s Steele Creek area, a victim died after being taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but police have released few details. In Topeka, a person found with multiple gunshot wounds in the early morning of Oct. 24 was pronounced dead at the scene; the victim has not been identified, and no arrest has been announced.
