Three legendary coaches die across sports
Former LSU basketball coach Dale Brown, who died at 90, is being remembered for both his success on the court and his commitment to players off it. In 25 seasons, the Hall of Fame coach built lasting relationships with his players, and former LSU standout Ricky Blanton recalled Brown as a mentor and humanitarian who stayed connected with players long after their careers ended. A tribute broadcast featuring longtime sports announcer Tim Brando and LSU basketball staffer Kent Lowe was also planned to reflect on Brown’s life and career.
