Three Manhattan brothers each sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking
Brothers Oren, Alon and Tal Alexander were each sentenced October 27, 2026, to 30 years in federal prison for sex trafficking after a March conviction on all 10 counts, including conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion. Judge Valerie Caproni ordered 10 years supervised release, sex offender treatment, and fines of $300,000 each for twins Alon and Oren, 39, and $350,000 for Tal, 40. Defense sought the 15-year minimum; prosecutors sought life. Caproni called their conduct "monstrous" and described them as "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." Eleven women gave victim impact statements and a twelfth was read by prosecutors. Maya Miller said Tal raped her in a Hamptons shower in 2014: "There was no confusion. Tal Alexander raped me," and she carries "a quiet funeral within me for the person I might have become." Olivia Lane said, "You are weak. You are inhumane." Isa Brooks said eyes "went black during the attack, like I was being mauled by animals." Katie Moore said they "cannot even look us in the eye as we speak today." Prosecutors said more than 70 women came forward and alleged a pattern from 2001-2002 high school years in Miami. The brothers deny wrongdoing and are expected to appeal. Trial defense called the sex consensual; Deanna Paul said stories were "rehearsed."
