Convictions handed down in three separate child sex abuse cases

A Lexington, South Carolina, man, Timothy Stedman Sloan, was sentenced to 81 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing more than 100 images or videos of child sexual abuse and discussing grooming and abuse in social media groups. He must also serve 15 years of supervised release and pay $25,000 in restitution. In Lincoln, England, Leon Burton was found guilty of multiple child rapes and perverting the course of justice; he had also pleaded guilty to related offenses and is scheduled to be sentenced in December. In Lexington, Kentucky, Ronnie Ellis Jr. was convicted of child rape, sodomy and incest, and jurors recommended a 30-year prison sentence.
