Phoenix Raceway hosts a NASCAR tripleheader this weekend, with the Craftsman Truck Series racing Friday, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Saturday and the Cup Series Freeway Insurance 500 on Sunday. Phoenix, which hosted the Cup championship finale from 2020 through 2025, is no longer the title-deciding race; the championship event has moved to Homestead. Cup points leader Kyle Larson heads to Phoenix 49 points clear and is rated the top pick in one preview, while Ryan Blaney stands out for his strong track record, including back-to-back Phoenix wins. Chase Briscoe has climbed into the top five after consecutive victories, and the O’Reilly Series arrives with Corey Day coming off back-to-back wins and a close fight among its leading contenders. Cup qualifying has been disrupted by weather at several recent playoff races, and Phoenix’s one-lap format is set to determine the starting order if the session goes ahead.
