Three women mark 100th birthdays across US, England

Three women marked their 100th birthdays with celebrations among family, friends and community members. Sheila Hirst celebrated at The Dower House in Hampshire, where she received a birthday message from the King and Queen and enjoyed a family gathering. Pauline Ashbaugh, a lifelong Hocking County resident, was surprised by a party in Logan; she recalled traveling across the United States and enjoys playing bingo. Joyce Whicker celebrated with gatherings in Denver and remains active at home, gardening, knitting items for charity and attending her village social club.
