Tiziana Reports Foralumab Meets MS Trial Endpoints
Tiziana Life Sciences said its Phase 2a INFORM-MS trial of intranasal foralumab met its primary goals in patients with non-active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, a form of MS with few treatment options. After 12 weeks, the 50-microgram group showed a statistically significant reduction in brain inflammation measured by PET imaging, while both tested doses were reported as safe and well tolerated. Patients receiving either dose also reported improvements in fatigue, but the trial found no improvement in disability scores over the study period. All 48 participants completed treatment without drug-related serious adverse events or withdrawals. The company plans further analysis and discussions with the FDA about next steps.
