Toledo Pursuit Crash Kills Two, Critically Injures Child
Two Toledo women died and a juvenile passenger was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash Thursday evening following a Lucas County sheriff’s deputy’s attempt to stop a driver. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Bria Boone, 32, continued north on I-475, exited onto Airport Highway and turned onto North Holland Sylvania Road before losing control near Nebraska Avenue and striking an oncoming vehicle driven by 64-year-old Laura Anaple. Boone died at the scene, and Anaple later died at a hospital. The patrol is investigating the crash; a witness account reported that Boone’s vehicle was seen weaving and that a deputy appeared to lose sight of it before the collision.
