Toyota plans Arene software across 50 models by 2030

Toyota plans to bring its Arene software platform to roughly 50 models and about 10 million new vehicles annually by 2030, making its lineup software-defined. The system will enable over-the-air updates that add or improve features such as safety, autonomous driving and in-car entertainment without dealership visits. Toyota also intends to expand Arene to vehicles from partner automakers by 2035, as it seeks to build software and services into a larger source of revenue beyond vehicle sales.
