Toys R Us plans 120 US standalone stores
Toys “R” Us is expanding its U.S. retail presence with plans for 120 standalone stores by the holiday season, adding to its existing standalone locations and shops inside Macy’s. New locations announced include Fayetteville, Arkansas; Northridge, California; and Oxford Valley, King of Prussia and Montgomery malls in Pennsylvania, while a standalone store at Katy Mills Mall in Texas is already open. The stores are expected to carry popular toys and collectibles, with some locations also offering cafés, candy shops and spaces for events and content creation. The company has not announced opening dates for several of the newly named locations and says additional stores may be announced.
