Trail Blazers Waive Jeremy Sochan Before Regular Season Opener
The Portland Trail Blazers have waived forward Jeremy Sochan ahead of the regular-season opener, ending his brief stint with the team after signing a non-guaranteed deal in August. The 23-year-old appeared in all four preseason games and showed efficient shooting, but did not secure a roster spot. Portland’s roster stands at 17 players, including three on two-way contracts, and Sochan will become an unrestricted free agent if he goes unclaimed on waivers. A former ninth overall pick, Sochan played for San Antonio and New York during the 2025-26 season and won an NBA championship with the Knicks.
