Trail closures hit Manitou Incline and other paths for repairs

Several trail and park access changes are planned. Colorado’s Manitou Incline will close Oct. 24 during Manitou Springs’ Emma Crawford Coffin Races, with reservations reopening the next morning. In Sooke, a section of the Sunriver Nature Trail near Phillips Road is closed for restoration through Oct. 30, while access remains available from Willowpark Way. Near Shasta Lake and Redding, the Sacramento Rail Trail and Middle Creek Trail are closed around the clock for resurfacing through Dec. 16. Separately, Honey Creek Drive will close Oct. 22 for paving as part of the Rock Creek Parkway project, preventing pedestrians and cyclists from crossing there, though Autrey Park will remain open with trail access.
