Transit agencies plan weekend service changes

Transit agencies announced service changes for the weekend. Pittsburgh Regional Transit will suspend T service between First Avenue and Steel Plaza from Friday through Sunday morning, with shuttle buses replacing trains, and close the Mt. Washington Tunnel Sunday night into Monday morning for electrical work. In Tamil Nadu, TNSTC plans 2,440 additional buses from Oct. 23 to 25 to handle weekend travel, including pilgrimage service to Tiruvannamalai and added return trips to Chennai and Bengaluru. In Lake Charles, Route Two (Simmons/Prater) will face afternoon delays and detours Thursday, Oct. 22, to accommodate the Washington-Marion homecoming parade; other city routes will operate normally.
