Unruly Passenger Sends Flight Back to San Francisco
A Singapore Airlines flight from San Francisco to Singapore returned to San Francisco on Oct. 14 after a passenger became unruly and injured himself. The pilots assessed the situation and chose to turn back; the aircraft landed safely roughly nine hours after departure, and the passenger was handed over to local authorities. Unverified passenger accounts on Reddit alleged he tried to reach or pull an emergency exit, but the airline did not confirm those claims. Singapore Airlines apologized for the disruption, arranged assistance for affected travelers, and sent the delayed flight onward with a new crew.
