Lufthansa plans first Columbus-Frankfurt nonstop service
Lufthansa plans to launch Columbus’s first nonstop transatlantic service on May 5, 2027, connecting John Glenn Columbus International Airport with its Frankfurt hub three times a week. The route will use a 287-seat Boeing 787-9 with the airline’s Allegris cabins, and is expected to give travelers access to destinations across Lufthansa’s wider network. Airport and regional officials say the service will strengthen international access for Ohio travelers and businesses, including German companies operating in the Columbus region. Tickets are expected to go on sale October 20, 2026.
