Trump taps federal judge nominees in Indiana, Nebraska
President Donald Trump has nominated Joseph Falvey, a Notre Dame graduate, Marine Corps veteran and assistant U.S. attorney, for a seat on the U.S. District Court for Northern Indiana, which serves South Bend, Fort Wayne and Hammond. Falvey also clerked for Chief Justice John Roberts and other federal judges; his nomination requires Senate confirmation, and Indiana’s Republican senators have voiced support. Trump has also nominated Eric Hamilton, a Justice Department deputy assistant attorney general and former Nebraska solicitor general, to fill an upcoming vacancy on the U.S. District Court for Nebraska. Hamilton previously served as associate counsel in Trump’s first-term White House, and Nebraska’s senators have praised his legal experience and public service.
