Trump Task Force to Commission Report on AI Cybersecurity and Biosecurity Risks

President Donald Trump’s AI task force, called the Super Intelligence Force, will commission a science advisers’ report on risks including cybersecurity, biosecurity and oversight of advanced AI models. It also plans protocols for AI labs to notify the government about breaches, hacks, jailbreaks and other problems, and committees to coordinate work on critical infrastructure, reporting and response, and law enforcement and consumer protection. The task force will consult AI developers, industry, civil-liberties and consumer groups, and federal and state agencies; it did not discuss new laws or regulations at its first meeting. Its work is intended to help implement a voluntary safety accord with AI companies while maintaining U.S. competitiveness.
