TSA Rolls Back Gateside Expansion Nationwide
The Transportation Security Administration has paused the expansion of Gateside by TSA PreCheck, returning the program to its original 13 pilot airports while it assesses participation and operational effects. Gateside allows eligible PreCheck members without tickets to pass through security to meet arriving travelers, accompany family members to gates, or use airport dining and shops. Airports that had joined during the expansion, including Denver and Norfolk, are no longer available through the application portal. TSA has not explained the rollback or said when expansion might resume, and travelers should check with their airport before making plans.
