Two Deputies Shot During Spangle Domestic Response
Two Spokane County sheriff’s deputies were shot while responding to a domestic violence call involving a weapon near Spangle, Washington. A third person was also treated at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, but their condition and whether they were a civilian were not immediately clear; authorities said no suspect was at large. The shooting prompted a major law enforcement response and road closures, with I-90 reopened and northbound Highway 195 reopened while southbound Highway 195 remained closed. Liberty School District returned some buses to the elementary school because they could not pass the scene, and parents could pick up students.
