Two Muskegon Attacks Leave Two Dead, One Injured
Two fatal incidents occurred in Muskegon over the weekend. In a shooting around 9 p.m. Saturday near Chestnut Street and East Apple Avenue, a 35-year-old man died and a 40-year-old man was wounded; police believe the shooting followed a physical altercation and was not random. Officers later searched a home in connection with the shooting, but no one was arrested. Separately, a 62-year-old man died after being stabbed near Forest Avenue and Eighth Street Saturday afternoon, and a 69-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with that case. Both investigations remain ongoing, and police have released few details about what led to either incident.
