Two San Jose Women Arrested in Fatal Stabbing

Two San Jose women, Alexia Nieves Solache, 22, and Veronica Rangel, 55, were arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was found in a ravine near Livermore on Aug. 25. Investigators say the victim was last seen at a North Seventh Street residence in San Jose and that the killing took place there before his body was transported to the ravine. Solache was arrested in Los Angeles and returned to San Jose; Rangel was arrested in San Jose. Both were booked on suspicion of murder, and charges had been filed against Solache while Rangel had not been charged as of Friday afternoon. The victim has not been publicly identified, and investigators say the motive and circumstances remain under investigation.
