Two Shootings Target Bakersfield TV Station

Police are investigating two shootings at the shared KBAK and KBFX television studios in Bakersfield, California, within four days. In the first incident, on Oct. 9, gunfire struck a conference room and an office; additional shots hit the building on Oct. 13. Surveillance footage shows a dark-colored vehicle outside the station, with muzzle flashes before it drives away, and a similar vehicle was seen during the second incident. No one was injured, and authorities have not announced an arrest, identified a suspect, or established whether the same person was responsible for both attacks. Sinclair says it is cooperating with police and taking steps to protect employees.
