Two Teens Arrested After Beaumont Homecoming Shooting

Two teenage brothers, ages 17 and 18, were taken into custody in connection with a shooting at a large homecoming party in Beaumont on Oct. 3. The shooting happened around 11:10 p.m. in the 800 block of Center Street after a homecoming after-party erupted into chaos with multiple shots fired. Two 17-year-olds were injured. A boy was reported in critical condition and flown to a Houston-area hospital. A girl was taken to a Beaumont hospital and later reported stable. Police are investigating whether additional suspects were involved beyond the two brothers. Investigators believe partygoers may have photos or videos that could help and are asking witnesses to come forward. One attendee told local news that an argument over a backpack preceded the gunfire.
