Two women die in separate fires

Several mobile-home and trailer fires caused deaths and injuries. In Payne Springs, Texas, a woman was hospitalized after a fire consumed much of a mobile home; two dogs died, and responders said the 911 call was delayed because the occupants did not have their phones nearby. In Lamar County, an 80-year-old woman died in a mobile-home fire, whose cause investigators could not determine. In west Tulsa, a woman died and a man suffered significant burns in a travel-trailer fire; two dogs also died, and investigators are working to establish the cause.
