UP MLC Bhardwaj launches free service to track teacher pay disputes

On Teachers’ Day, Uttar Pradesh MLC Dharmendra Kumar Bhardwaj launched a free Teacher Assistance and Grievance Support Service for educators in the Meerut-Ghaziabad constituency. The service will help teachers and education workers document complaints, identify the appropriate government authority, submit representations and track their progress regarding honorariums, transfers, service records, welfare benefits and government schemes. The office will provide dated acknowledgments and follow-up records but cannot approve benefits, release payments or make administrative decisions, which remain with competent authorities. The initiative follows the state government’s April 2026 increase in monthly honorariums for Shiksha Mitras and part-time instructors, and will help workers flag payment or implementation problems without charging fees or collecting funds.
