UC San Diego has a busy weekend of athletics, hosting the West Invitational in fencing and several home contests. The Tritons’ women’s soccer team, seeded second after a historic regular season, will meet Cal State Fullerton in the Big West semifinal, while the men’s basketball team hosts Fresno State during Homecoming after both teams opened with wins. UCSD women’s basketball will face crosstown opponent San Diego at the Bill Walton Classic in their first meeting as Division I programs. UCLA men’s water polo, coming off consecutive conference losses, will host UC San Diego as it looks to regain momentum late in the regular season.
