UK Woman Gives Birth in KFC Parking Lot

Katie Murphy, 33, reportedly gave birth to her son Cody in the family car after she and her partner, Stephen Kirby, pulled into a KFC parking lot in Bromsgrove, England, while rushing to the hospital on Aug. 29. Kirby caught the baby as paramedics were being called, and emergency responders soon took mother and child to the hospital. Cody was reported healthy and weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces. The family nicknamed him “Colonel Cody” after KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders and joked about taking him to the restaurant for his first birthday.
