Universities Spotlight Nursing, Student Wellness Efforts
Nursing schools are emphasizing research, student support and workforce development to strengthen patient care and expand the profession. UCF College of Nursing Dean Sharon Tucker was named the Orlando Health Endowed Chair in Nursing, a role supporting research with direct patient impact and nursing workforce development. At Southern New Hampshire University, nursing administrator Stacey Rosenberg draws on experience across clinical settings and education to expand learning opportunities and help students succeed. Minot State University is likewise working to mentor nursing students, grow enrollment and encourage graduates to stay in North Dakota, where health care employers face staffing needs.
