Unknown Odor Sickens Seven Crew on Honolulu Flight

On September 24, 2026, an unknown odor was detected in the cabin during Alaska Airlines Flight 803 from Los Angeles to Honolulu, operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Seven flight attendants reported nausea and headaches. The Airbus A330-200 registered N375HA carried 252 passengers. Passengers were not affected. Emergency responders from Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and American Medical Response met the aircraft at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport and evaluated the seven flight attendants outside Terminal 1. All seven declined hospital transport. The aircraft was pulled from service and inspected before returning to service. One report said it resumed operations after about 10 hours. The source of the odor has not been identified. The same aircraft had a prior odor incident on June 23, 2025, on Hawaiian Airlines flight HA-864 from Tokyo Haneda to Honolulu. That flight returned to Haneda and the plane was removed from service for about 26 hours. Available reporting does not establish that the two incidents shared the same cause.
