US Campaigns Highlight Voter Discontent Across States
Campaign rhetoric and voter dissatisfaction are shaping several contests. The NRCC attacked Nebraska Democrat Denise Powell by linking her to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and accusing her of supporting policies it described as radical. In Utah, some traditionally Republican voters are reconsidering their choices amid concerns including the drying Great Salt Lake, while a poll shows Democrat Peter Crosby closer to Rep. Blake Moore than expected in the newly drawn 2nd District. In Massachusetts, unenrolled voters—who make up most of the electorate—are more dissatisfied than voters overall with Gov. Maura Healey’s performance, the state’s direction and taxes, and are less supportive of several statewide officials.
