Cities Set Veterans Day Parades From Hilo to Paducah

Communities across the country are planning parades and ceremonies to honor veterans in the days surrounding Veterans Day. Hilo’s annual parade is scheduled for the Saturday before the holiday, with organizers saying the timing allows a weekend turnout without conflicting with cemetery events on Nov. 11; accommodations will be available for veterans with special needs. Duncan’s parade is set for Nov. 7, while St. Cloud will hold its parade Nov. 8 and a ceremony at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center on Nov. 11. Gadsden’s parade will take place Nov. 4. Paducah will hold a sunrise observance, an awards ceremony and a parade on Nov. 11, along with changes to some city services.
