US Clinics Plan Free Dental Care for Veterans

Dental schools and practices across the country are offering free care to veterans around Veterans Day, citing gaps in access to routine dental services. Touro Dental Health in New Mexico is providing veterans, active-duty service members and their families with exams, X-rays and preventive cleanings throughout November, alongside a Veterans Day luncheon. Other events include a Festus, Missouri, clinic offering a range of urgent and routine treatments; My Dental Implant Center’s annual Mesa, Arizona, event, where providers say they offer same-day services from cleanings to implants; and South College’s Nashville clinic, which will provide free services on Veterans Day and at other dates if needed. MUSC in Charleston is also holding a free clinic aimed at veterans who lack access to dental care, with the goal of helping them establish an ongoing dental home.
