Clocks Fall Back November 1 as Daylight Saving Time Ends
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, when clocks move back from 2 a.m. to 1 a.m.; most connected devices will update automatically, while other clocks may need to be reset. The change brings earlier sunrises and sunsets, and Daylight Saving Time is scheduled to resume March 14, 2027. The House passed the Sunshine Protection Act in July to make daylight time permanent, but the measure is stalled in the Senate, where critics warn that winter mornings would be darker while supporters say the change would provide more evening light and avoid disruptions from twice-yearly clock changes. Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe Daylight Saving Time.
