US Communities Hold Pregnancy-Loss Remembrance Events
Communities marked International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day with gatherings that honored babies who died during pregnancy or infancy and gave grieving families space to remember and connect. Events in Durham, Tulsa and Emporia included conversations, shared stories and candlelight tributes, reflecting organizers’ efforts to ease the isolation many parents experience after miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Durham’s gathering also raised funds for Equity Before Birth, a nonprofit working to improve birth outcomes for Black and Brown mothers. A Helena Wave of Light event was also reported as part of the broader remembrance.
