US Marshals arrest 18-year-old Daviyonte Johnson in Shreveport homicide

U.S. Marshals arrested 18-year-old Daviyonte Johnson on an outstanding Shreveport police warrant in connection with a July 6 shooting on Peach Street that left one person dead and another injured. Johnson, who was 17 when the warrant was issued, was initially sought for attempted second-degree murder; reports say he now faces a second-degree murder charge, though police have not publicly detailed the charge. Jamarcus Chatman was arrested shortly after the shooting and is also accused of being involved. The victim’s identity has not been released.
