US, South Korea, Japan Reaffirm North Korea Denuclearization

South Korean, U.S. and Japanese foreign ministers met on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Atlanta to discuss the Korean Peninsula and economic security. They reaffirmed their commitment to North Korea’s complete denuclearization and called for a return to dialogue. The talks came amid concern over North Korean missile activity and its ties with China, with officials also focused on ways to resume U.S.-North Korea dialogue and counter funding and cyber threats linked to Pyongyang’s weapons programs.
