USC Defeats Fresno State, Bolsters Big Ten Outlook

USC delivered a dominant, all-around shutout of Fresno State in its second game, improving on its opener while reducing mistakes on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Jayden Maiava played with greater confidence and decisiveness, leading an explosive passing attack and building a promising connection with freshman receiver Trent Mosley, while other young USC wideouts also made a strong impression. The Trojans complemented the passing game with a physical rushing attack and veteran offensive line.
