USGA Names Merion Fourth Championship Anchor Site

The USGA has named Merion Golf Club outside Philadelphia its fourth anchor site, establishing a long-term partnership for recurring championships over the next 25 years. Merion is scheduled to host the U.S. Open in 2030, 2040 and 2050, and the U.S. Women’s Open in 2034 and 2046. It joins Pebble Beach, Oakmont and Pinehurst in the anchor-site program, created to help the USGA and host communities plan and invest in major events. Merion has hosted more USGA championships than any other venue, with 20 to date.
