Utah opened its 2026-27 men’s basketball season with a 66-63 comeback win over Long Beach State after trailing by as many as 17 points. The Utes struggled with turnovers in the first half, allowing Long Beach to take a 40-28 halftime lead, but tightened their defense and outscored the Beach 38-23 after the break. Trey Campbell led Utah with 20 points and eight assists, while McCaden Adams scored a game-high 21 for Long Beach State, whose last-second attempt to tie fell short.
