UTSA Earns 100th Win on Late TD

Brandon High Jr. scored on a 25-yard touchdown run with 14 seconds remaining, lifting UTSA past Texas State 31-26 in San Marcos and giving the Roadrunners the 100th win in program history. UTSA overcame a 10-point halftime deficit by scoring touchdowns on both of its fourth-quarter drives, including A’Marion Peterson’s go-ahead 2-yard run before High’s decisive score. Texas State controlled the line of scrimmage and outgained UTSA 481-398, but missed kicks helped keep the Bobcats within reach. Owen McCown threw for 214 yards and a touchdown as UTSA improved to 2-0 and extended its series lead to 6-2, while Texas State fell to 0-2.
