UTSA Student Apologizes for Kirk Assassination Poem

University of Texas at San Antonio student Isa Casahuga apologized after a video circulated showing her reciting a poem that mocked Charlie Kirk’s assassination and referred to a “shot to the neck.” The poem was delivered at a campus event hosted by conservative activist Christian Collins, whom Casahuga also teased for appearing without a neck brace. In her apology, she called her comments deeply insensitive and hurtful and addressed Collins and Kirk’s family. The video drew widespread criticism, and the University of Texas System said it was reviewing the incident and would not tolerate threats or incitement of violence.
