Verstappen Tops Brazilian GP Practice Amid Hamilton Trouble

Kimi Antonelli became Formula 1’s youngest world champion after finishing third at the Mexico City Grand Prix, breaking Sebastian Vettel’s record; Max Verstappen won the race ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen praised Antonelli’s talent, early guidance and humility, while noting that the Mercedes driver had a stronger support system than he did when he entered F1. Former driver Ralf Schumacher sharply criticized George Russell’s season and said Antonelli has the stronger long-term prospects at Mercedes. At the Brazilian Grand Prix’s third practice session, Verstappen narrowly topped Antonelli, while Hamilton’s Ferrari suffered a mechanical problem that produced smoke in the cockpit.
