Brass bands and choirs stage remembrance concerts for veterans across three nations
Communities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are marking remembrance and veterans’ observances with concerts that bring together brass bands, choirs, orchestras and local performers. Events include Great Yarmouth Brass’s benefit concert for the Royal British Legion poppy appeal, a free Riverhead tribute recognizing local veterans, and Opera Montana’s free concert featuring its Veterans Chorus alongside community singers and an orchestra. Other programs pair the Chanticleer Singers with Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band for an evening of remembrance, while Tsawwassen’s “The Army Show” recreates morale-boosting entertainment inspired by Canadian wartime radio broadcasts. Together, the events use music and shared community stories to honor military service and those who served.
