Victoria Cruise Season Surpasses One Million Passengers

Victoria welcomed its one-millionth cruise passenger in a single season for the first time when California couple Geri and Gary Skardina stepped off the Norwegian Encore at Ogden Point. The milestone came during a record 2026 season, expected to include 332 ship calls, and reflects the city’s popularity on Alaska cruise itineraries. The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority says cruise visits support regional tourism businesses and workers, while noting that aging port facilities will need reinvestment to keep pace with growth. The Skardinas, who have visited Victoria several times, were honored with a celebration and a private city tour.
