Ravens meet Cowboys in 2026 NFL Week 3 game staged in Rio

The NFL YouTube channel posted “Baltimore Ravens vs Dallas Cowboys Game Highlights from Rio | 2026 NFL Season Week 3”. The title presents the clip as highlights of the Week 3 regular-season meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

A Baltimore Ravens site recap by Quentin Corpuel states that Tyler Loop ended the game with a 56-yard field goal that left one second on the clock. Loop had missed a 44-yard try the previous season that would have put the Ravens into the playoffs. Corpuel’s account gives the final score as Baltimore 34, Dallas 31 at Maracanã Stadium, the first regular-season NFL game held there. The same recap says Lamar Jackson found rookie tight end Matt Hibner for a touchdown with under two minutes remaining, a pass-interference call on cornerback Nate Wiggins moved the ball to the Ravens’ 1-yard line, and Brandon Aubrey’s kick tied the score at 31 before Jackson’s long completion to Zay Flowers set up Loop.

Field questions preceded kickoff. An Associated Press preview dated September 25 reported that Cowboys defensive tackle Kenny Clark had played for Green Bay on a “mushy” surface in São Paulo two years earlier and was asked about Maracanã. “Regardless, we’re going out there to play a game on Sunday. That would be crazy for me to be up here complaining about it. I’m ready to play,” Clark said, per the AP. Jackson faced the same line of inquiry. “I am locked in. I cannot focus on how the grass would be,” he told the AP. Both clubs planned 10-hour flights that left Thursday evening and arrived Friday morning, the AP wrote. Jackson described his plan for the trip: “Try to walk around as much as possible, but at the same time sleep as much as possible. It is a 10-hour flight, right? Five and five — try to balance it out.”

DallasCowboys.com staff writer Tommy Yarrish, writing when the league announced the game on April 24, quoted owner Jerry Jones calling the club “thrilled and honored to be part of Rio’s first NFL game.” Jones said playing “in the legendary Maracanã Stadium against the Ravens in front of such a passionate and growing fan base on a global stage will be very special for our team, our entire Cowboys organization and the millions watching back home and around the world.” The same story carried Dak Prescott’s February remarks on his first international appearance after a decade in the league. “Super excited... Being 10 years in the league and I hadn’t played an international game, I’m excited for the travel. Just excited to go and play with the Cowboys across the world, just give the fans in Rio and Brazil a chance to see us in person, and just super excited for the experience,” Prescott said, according to the team site. Yarrish noted the Cowboys had not played a regular-season game outside the United States since 2014 and that the league scheduled a record nine international games for 2026.
