I DIDN'T LIKE IT! BUT HERE WE ARE | Productive Weekend Vlog Meal Prep, Cleaning & Back into a rhythm
Some weekends you have a million things you WANT to get done… and absolutely ZERO desire to do any of them. 😂 That was pretty much me this weekend! Welcome back! Today we're spending a couple of days getting things done around the house, preparing for a new week, spending time with the family, and trying to get back into a little bit of a routine. I finally made it back to the gym for the first time in weeks after being sick with an upper respiratory infection, and let me tell you… it was HUMBLING. Apparently my body needs a little more time to get back into the swing of things! It also reminded me that I need to do a better job of fueling my body, so I spent some time in the kitchen making a few easy things to have ready for the week. We're making Trader Joe's banana bread muffins for easy breakfasts and after-school snacks, baking some sourdough (and I may have outdone myself with this week's design!), and making one of my FAVORITE easy little treats: chocolate peanut butter stuffed dates that taste like homemade Snickers bars. Seriously, you have to try them! I'm also sharing a delicious Trader Joe's fiocchetti pasta dinner with spicy Italian chicken sausage, pink sauce, spinach, and Parmesan. Easy family dinners are always a win around here! Outside the kitchen, there's cleaning, soccer games, Halloween festivities, and a little discussion about daylight savings. Can we PLEASE give that extra hour of sleep a standing ovation?! 😂 Although, if you've had little kids, you know that the time change doesn't always work out quite that way. After approximately 16 years of early wake-ups, I'm finally celebrating a 6 a.m. morning! This wasn't my typical weekend reset, and I honestly wish I had gotten a little more done, but sometimes weekends don't go according to plan. Sometimes you just do what you can, enjoy the little wins, and get ready to start again on Monday. A QUESTION FOR YOU: Are you someone who likes to meal prep and prepare for the week ahead, or do you figure things out as you go? And what's one easy recipe or snack that makes your weekdays a little easier? I'd love to hear! Thanks for watching, hanging out, and being a friend. ❤️ #WeekendVlog #ProductiveWeekend #MealPrep #RealisticMomLife #Sourdough #CleaningMotivation #EasyRecipes #FamilyVlog #TheWads
